  • Course description: AEC Daily: Designing with Water

    Without a doubt, the human-to-nature connection contributes to well-being and improves our mood. Water features are one way to extend this connection to the indoors. This course reviews the components of indoor water features, design options, and considerations and looks at a few case studies.

    Discuss four key advances in technology that led to the indoor water features installed today.

    Summarize the four major system components of indoor water features.

    Describe the role of each component, including cleaning/sanitizing the water and controlling every aspect of the water feature.

    Identify the mechanical requirements of indoor water features.

    Identify the numerous types and styles of indoor water features available and any required structural support.

    Describe the potential installation problems that can occur without the help of an experienced professional.
