Architectural hardware plays a significant role in the functionality, safety, accessibility, security, and visual identity of a building. This course explores contemporary hardware design and finish trends, customization strategies, code compliance, and performance evaluation. It also examines coordination strategies, evolving technologies, and sustainable design considerations. Participants will acquire practical knowledge to support informed hardware selection that aligns with design intent, meets performance expectations, adheres to accessibility requirements, complies with life safety codes, and supports sustainability objectives.
Recognize contemporary architectural hardware design trends, finish technologies, and customization opportunities that enhance aesthetics while supporting functional performance for all users.
