  • Course description: AEC Daily: Adapting Water Management to Evolving Conditions: Part 2

    Water management is a complex and significant process affecting all levels of planning and building design and is tasked with solving a number of new and emerging issues. This course reviews current stormwater and wastewater management issues and current practices and then takes a look at a number of new and emerging issues that water management plans need to address.

    Recall current stormwater issues and describe a number of current low-impact development practices to mitigate environmental damage from stormwater.

    Describe a number of conservation and wastewater management practices that can be incorporated into building design.

    Recall emerging water management issues related to climate change.

    Describe the Okotoks, Alberta, water management solution that links growth to its water supply.
