    Designing to accommodate thermal movement is just one of the many critical details for the long term success of a metal roof installation. This course covers the design and specification considerations and architectural details that impact project requirements, as well as the components and the energy efficient features of metal roofing assemblies.

    List the advantages and disadvantages, including cost, aesthetics, and performance, of architectural roofing vs. industrial roofing, as well as the features, performance, and aesthetics of exposed fastener and standing seam assemblies.

    State the specification considerations related to a metal roof installation.

    Discuss the energy efficient features of metal roofing and the environmental impact of metal roofs versus alternative roofing materials.

    List the design and installation issues that help facilitate a durable and successful metal roof solution.
