This course is intended to help designers and specifiers make the most informed decisions about vinyl product selection. It describes the realities and improvements of today’s vinyl product manufacturing, discusses the latest information about the safety and sustainability of vinyl products, and presents a verification standard for responsible vinyl manufacturing.

    Describe the basics of vinyl production and its regulations as well as improvements in emissions performance.

    Evaluate chemical risks and hazards and the unintended consequences of single-attribute product selection.

    Recall the many uses and applications of vinyl products when specifying building materials.

    Utilize life cycle assessments and resource efficiency reporting in product evaluation and sustainability analysis.

    Employ programs to verify sustainability requirement compliance and simplify vinyl product specification.
