  • Course description: RDH Building Science Inc. - Deep Dive into Rainscreens Session 8: Pressure Equalization and Compartmentalization

    22 mai 2024 - 2:00 PM (AST) - 22 mai 2024 - 3:00 PM (AST)

Deep Dive into Rainscreens Session 8 delves into two intriguing but often misunderstood design considerations: pressure equalization and compartmentalization of the air cavity. In this session, you will explore why pressure equalization is a complementary addition to drained rain control strategies. You will learn the components of a pressure-equalized rainscreen, the factors that affect the degree of pressure equalization performance, and the role of compartmentalization in improving water penetration control.

1.Describe pressure moderation/equalization as an additive rain control strategy.

2.List the physical components of a pressure-equalized rainscreen.

3.Summarize design and exposure factors that affect pressure equalization performance.

4.Describe when and how compartmentalization may improve water control.
