Course description: CEU Events: Sustainable Solutions
The presentation includes a review of the sustainable/green properties and benefits of lightweight insulating concrete roof insulation systems, solvent-free and no VOC applications, and cool roof systems with a focus on how these systems can contribute to sustainable building envelope design.
Attendees will gain an understanding of solvent-free and no-VOC application options, including solvent-free adhesives and PMMA liquid-applied systems.
Attendees will learn about vegetated and cool roof options, including bright white surfacings.
Attendees will learn the importance of insulation in green/sustainable building design as it relates to energy efficiency and the life cycle of the roof system.
Attendees will learn the basics of PMMA liquid-applied system technology, its development for roofing and waterproofing applications, and appropriate uses.
