Course description: CEU Events: PMMA used for Waterproofing
This presentation will focus on PMMA used as liquid-applied waterproofing for pedestrian and vehicular traffic applications, specifically roof terraces, amenity spaces, walkways, balconies, and parking garages. The presentation will provide ways to determine the appropriateness of substrates and proper preparation techniques for substrates, such as concrete. Attendees will learn specifics that are needed to specify PMMA waterproofing systems.
Learn the difference between waterproofing and concrete protection and when to use them.
Understand which parts of buildings and parking garages that PMMA waterproofing systems should be installed to provide success, long-term waterproofing.
Recognize proper substrate evaluation and preparation in order to maximize PMMA adhesion to concrete surfaces.
Identify components of system design and performance in order to make correct design decisions based the specific project requirements.
