EPIC Educational Program Innovations Center, founded 29 years ago, is a continuing education provider of engineering, technology and construction courses in Canada. EPIC is certified as an educational institution by Human Resourses and Skills Development Canada and is authorized by the Engineering Institute of Canada as a provider of CEUs. NOTE: Courses can be scheduled specifically for a group upon request and can be offered either online or in-person (covid permitting).   • Course Description: EPIC: Design Safer Roads for Pedestrians and Cyclists

    ONLINE - TBD 

    • Comprehend the perceptual and cognitive issues that contribute to motor vehicle collisions involving pedestrians and cyclists

    • Understand the most common types of motor vehicle collisions involving pedestrians or cyclists, and the countermeasures which can minimize their frequency and severity

    • Perform a road safety audit to improve road safety for pedestrians and cyclists

    • Apply practical planning, design, and engineering knowledge contained in Ontario Traffic Manual Book 15 and Book 18
