  • Course Description: AEC Daily: Panel Radiators: The Modern Radiator Solution

    Modern hydronic radiator systems are an energy-efficient, healthy, and hygienic solution for residential and commercial applications. This course discusses the principles of radiant heating and panel radiators, and how to size panel radiators for residential applications.

    Describe how heat is transferred through conduction, convection, and radiation.

    Compare convective heating to radiant heating.

    Describe different types of radiant heating systems.

    Identify the features and advantages of hydronic panel radiators.

    Describe the types of panel radiators and identify appropriate applications.

    Apply rules of thumb to estimate the heat load of a residential room and select the type and size of panel radiator to supply the required heat.
