    Learning Objective

    Explain the need for secure veneer anchor attachments and how following TMS 402 ensures the durability of the building structure.

    Discuss the various anchor attachments for use with wood-framed, metal stud, concrete masonry unit, and concrete backup walls.

    Explain how clear and concise specifications and drawing details of anchors lead to a safe and efficient building envelope.

    Distinguish the different types of veneer anchors listed in the code and specify the most appropriate one for a building to ensure the integrity and aesthetics of the overall structure.
