AEC Daily is one of the largest providers of continuing education (CE) to the Construction, Architectural, Interior Design and Engineering communities.     ONGOING - FREE - 1 HOUR

    The enhanced need for water conservation and a decrease of harmful runoff resulting from lawn maintenance has pushed the demand for environmentally-friendly alternatives for landscaping and recreational areas. Explored in this course are the uses, benefits, and specification and installation considerations of artificial turf products that replicate a natural grass look and feel in any environment.

    Learning Objectives

    Recall the benefits of synthetic grass compared to natural grass in terms of eco-friendliness, sustainability, health and wellness, accessibility, and decreased maintenance.

    List the applications of synthetic grass that meet the unique needs of a variety of markets including commercial and residential landscapes, leisure and recreation, retail and hospitality, and dog-friendly facilities.

    Describe the construction of a standard synthetic grass system and define how each component contributes to its aesthetics, resilience, and performance.

    State the installation considerations to facilitate a long service life, as well as the maintenance protocols to create a safe, hygienic environment.
