  • Course Description: AEC Daily: Carbon Leadership Forum Series: Embodied Carbon Transparency and Disclosure

    Policies targeting the reduction of carbon emissions associated with building products require the disclosure of embodied carbon data to inform those policies and verify whether reduction targets or incentive requirements have been met. This course aims to provide a guide to collecting high-quality embodied carbon data.

    Learning Objectives:

    Describe the production of an EPD.

    Recall minimum requirements for high-quality EPD reporting as well as best practice data reporting.

    Explain the importance of functional equivalence and similar methodologies, system boundaries, and upstream data in comparing EPDs.
