Options for siding and trim encompass a variety of materials, including engineered wood, natural wood, fiber cement, and vinyl. This course reviews the features, performance characteristics, styles, and installation considerations of engineered wood siding and trim products.

    State the environmental and performance benefits of building with engineered wood panels versus natural wood panels and fiber cement.

    Define the components, characteristics, green features, and styles of engineered wood siding.

    Explain the standards related to engineered wood siding and how specifying an engineered wood siding solution can contribute to LEED® accreditation.

    Summarize the considerations that are required to facilitate a successful engineered wood siding and trim installation.
