The course concludes with case studies that demonstrate the unlimited design possibilities of this versatile product.


    Describe the range of glass block products available and their aesthetic, finishing, and specialty options.

    Describe the fire ratings of glass block products as well as high-tech options that maximize energy efficiency, solar reflectance, and ease of maintenance.

    Explain how engineered, prefabricated glass block windows can provide turnkey solutions for superior protection against hurricanes, tornadoes, ballistic and blast threats, and forced entry or exit.

    Discuss how glass block exterior and interior applications contribute to sustainability and may help projects earn certification through green building standards such as LEED®, the WELL Building Standard®, and the Living Building Challenge.
