AEC Daily is one of the largest providers of continuing education (CE) to the Construction, Architectural, Interior Design and Engineering communities.   • Course Description: AEC Daily: An Overview of Architectural Hardware Standards & Product Certification

    The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA®) is the only organization accredited by the American National ‎Standards Institute (ANSI) to develop and maintain builders hardware ‎standards with cycling, operational, strength, security, and finish test requirements. This course explores the performance standards and the certification program related to commercial architectural hardware.

    Define the history, membership, and role of BHMA® in the continuous improvement of builders hardware and the security of buildings.

    Discuss the performance standards for commercial architectural hardware that enhance public accessibility and safety.

    Describe the certification program for builders hardware that ensures compliance with codes, standards, and life safety regulations.
